Patterns are a pleasant part of photography. People prefer patterns.

A human eye naturally seeks repeating shapes, lines, items, themes, faces etc…It’s just part of being human.

I suppose it’s the desire for us to make sense of the bedlam happening all around us all the time. If we can just find one place where it makes sense, and we know what to expect then we have evidence that it’s going to be all right.

Or perhaps it’s just like candy to the eye. Fun to savor, a little electricity for the optic nerve.
