Just a couple of months ago we found the charger for the Power Wheels Barbie Jeep battery. The charger was stuffed in a box with caulking and hoses that I packed in my garage in San Clemente In November of 2009. I finally have room at the new house to unpack all my boxes. I’ve moved boxes around that I packed three moves ago planning to put their contents to use in an eventual “next house”.
Grace is not allowed to drive the Jeep. She holds onto the steering wheel with her foot pushing hard onto the accelerator and throws her head back laughing out loud. Lily is allowed to drive but she really struggles because Grace’s foot is always stomping on the accelerator while Lily tries to manage from crashing.
All in all it’s a good time.
While I was unpacking my boxes I also found a favorite old pullover that I lost when I left Santa Barbara in 1998. I had folded it nicely in a tackle box full of unusual darkroom tools. It’s a nicely preserved wardrobe relic that has mysteriously shrunk. It used to fit me so well.
A lot of things shrunk in my boxes too, things that I’m unpacking after 2+ years! Eva said, “I didn’t know they had a barbie car, did they get it from the Easter Bunny?”
I don’t know why, but this post’s title’s cadence makes me think of how it would work in a rap song. A weird rap song, but a rap song nonetheless.
That made both my wife and I laugh. It does sound like the title of a rap song.
