Would you ever expect this?

Welcome home
Have you ever felt like your were in the middle of nowhere only to find that you’re not?

Some years ago I was photographing with a friend in Southern Utah. We were on Highway 12 on our way to the remote town of Escalante. We stumbled upon a large stand of aspen trees and hiked with our 4×5 cameras to get some photography.
We came upon these two couches comfortably situated next to a fire that had been set up but not lit.
I did the only thing I knew how to do. I took a photograph.

Eerie and surprising.
Creepy and whimsical.
Funny and spooky.

That’s awesome. Taking a photograph was the best thing to do at that moment!
